PostSubject: Response to Cheryl's question: What are you doing today for your writing?   Tue May 31, 2011 9:21 am

For the first time in years, I actually could take a holiday weekend off, so I was raring to get back to the desk this morning.

What did I do for my writing today?

I wrote 1500 words on the book that's on deadline.

I sent out and responded to promotional requests for the release, ASSUMPTION OF RIGHT, that drops on June 6.

I blogged.

I caught up on email.

Now, I have to deal with some errands, but this afternoon, I have two articles to finish and send off, and a third article to start. I hope I can get back to the WIP for a bit, but that depends on how much I have to do in the garden.

By the end of the week, I have to get out a half dozen proposals for future projects.

In other words, a typical writing day -- only the garden's in there, too! Wink

Others?

Gardening? Ugh. We've been putting off the lawn for two weeks now. I'm hoping when it's my own yard, I'll care a tad bit more but for now it's an errand I'll get too. Eventually.

I'll put in a good hour of writing on my lunch break, probably writing around 1,000 words. Could be more, just depends on how much the characters are talking to me.

Tuesday's are a little slow for writing, mostly because the dog gets her 3 mile walk after work, though I do have two short story projects to ponder. Walks are good for thinking (unless the dog see's a squirrel, then that's cuts into my relaxing, thinking time). After that hubby and I have an hour of P90X workout - which will put dinner somewhere around 8:30.

Depending on how I'm going, I might do some more work with the next website after dinner.

Like I said, Tuesday's are slow but I work hard during the time I have.

You ladies are good. It's a slow writing week for me because I'm gearing up for vacation. By the time I return next week I want to have Chapters 4 and 5 of Hold Your Horses written.

I revised Chapter 31 of my YA WIP. Worked on it yesterday and today. This afternoon I plan to finish a review I've started and crit a couple of stories. Read email, need to reply to some.

Have a wonderful vacation, Cheryl.
